Today is my 68 the birthday 1/1/1956, I have been married 42 years and my dear wife recently was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. This song ministered to my heart because we are praying by faith believing God is going to heal her! Karen and I just saw the oncologist, yesterday Feb 8 and he had a good report! THANKS FOR PRAYING IN FAITH BELIEVERS! Her CA125 (cancer marker) was 2209 when she was diagnosed in Dec., and the chemo has brought it down to 129! ( LOOK WHAT GOD DID!) She had completed the third chemo last week and he originally had said he would do surgery after the third chemo session, but he now wants that marker to go down as close to zero as possible before he does the surgery, especially since there is cancer in several places of the abdominal wall. Likely, she will have two more chemos which would put her surgery at the end of March or beginning of April, he said. He was not concerned with her weight loss because he said she looks and sounds very strong, and she is. He's also pleased with her mostly keto diet (plant protein) and agreed that cancer loves sugar (which she's been off sugar for many years). Overall, Dr Black was very pleased! He told Karen that she was responding better in stage 4 cancer than his stage 2 patients! She told him it was all the Lord, and thousands of people praying! She reminded him that we are praying for him and his family, and he thanked us, & he said to continue to pray for his three children. This is a good report because of all our church family's prayers, and the prayers of churches and friends around the world! We really feel those prayers. Karen has been such a joyful patient to take care of, and we are grateful for the prayers of our church family!

For some reason been feeling discouraged, haven't been even close to being a good witness for Christ. Feeling alone and darkness of this world makes me feel alone. Sometimes hoping that some day this will all be over and home in heaven. Looking out the door windows of my house and see the cold morning out there from East to the West. Talking to God and wondering will he speak or will I hear his voice.....but nothing. So I stand and watch...then I see something...to the east comes a bird flying, its a sparrow....one single sparrow....flying straight out in front of me and I just watch him.....he flies to the west....all alone flying as I watch. I think I feel like that sparrow sometimes, but we are both free, God has made us both free. I suddenly think of a song I have not heard for a long time....I feel Gods presence, he did not speak...he just sent a sparrow. The story long ago was Mr. and Mrs. Doolittle, she was bed ridden for 20 years in poor health and he was crippled trying to run his business. A woman and her husband were visiting them and asked how they managed and what their secret was to stay happy. Mr. Doolittle replied, "His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me." The woman asking was Civilla D. Martin and she used those words for the song "His eye is on the sparrow" 1905
