He was giving Sean his earrings and Xbox, two important things to him. That’s ALWAYS a bad sign. Usually suicidal people do that before they do „it“. When I was younger, I attempted suicide and right before that, I wrote down, who gets what and gave my best friend basically everything important to me. I got it back after I failed. So always be aware of that. I’m quite sure, Price was suicidal, the parts where he was found sitting in his car, starring into the distance indicates that he wanted to do „it“, but he was contemplating and still not entirely sure. Anyway, be always aware and awake, when someone starts to give away their stuff.

Don't ever do that please.. or think about doing that. You would cause severe traumatic damage to your loved ones. Happy you chose the right decision and are still here. All these signs point to suicide. I also think him taking pills and depriving himself of sleep could have easily messed with his mind. Honestly think he was just good at hiding his depression. From the beginning his whole giving his stuff to his friend and breaking up with his girlfriend was because he was planning on leaving and then sitting for hours was him going through it in his head. The one thing he wouldn't want to tell his parents openly is this. Then he sped off a cliff not that far from home and then you find his scent by a bridge...

Honestly. I hate blaming the parents in these situations but my mom and dad would NEVER just ignore these signs like these ones did. Shit, even not answering my phone for like an hour or so when I’m out automatically alerts mine to find every possible way to make sure I’m okay, even if that means them driving out a couple hours to a different state. No offence but it’s the fact they choose to do absolutely nothing and then act shocked when it doesn’t end well💀🤦‍♀️.

They did put in an enormous amount of effort. Do you have any idea how exhausting it can be these days to pick up your phone to make a call? I’m not surprised at all that they didn’t even make it out their front door.

Suicide attempt is definitely one of my theories because something similar happened with an old friend where he gave away some of his things like couple days before it happened. My other theory is that it seemed like he possibly did intend to go home cause the cliff thing was just random and he apperently was packed up for something. I can see him just being incredibly tired and accidentally going off the road cause he did say it was too dark to really point out anything. Who knows what his state of mind was in during this whole time. However the parents... lord the parents. If my roommate even told my parents i was acting off, either they or a relative or a cousin, whoever, would've been there so fast to see what was going on. Especially after there been these 3 separates instances where they should've said "okay we need to get to him in person, he's only a few hours away maybe he'll run out of gas again, maybe his phone will die" etc. When the police came I thought they would finally like get them to hold him or something. But idk, I'm just perplexed as to why they didn't seem to take any sort of initiative compared to this total stranger who definitely noticed that the behavior was very strange.

Exactly !! Idk why the parents weren't trying to go get him when they had the chance so many times- I would've never even wanted the ex to give him his keys. Though I do think the pills he was taking probably had his mental health decline as well (just because I've seen it happen to people I know) I couldn't imagine just staying home while my kid is on the road in such a state

I've been on both Vyvanse and Adderall, Adderall is stronger, it works and it is amazing. Keeps me focused and it stops my binge eating disorder, it makes it to where I am not hungry all the time. People mostly abuse these drugs in college for studying but there are other times where people just abuse it to abuse it. I am on other meds for mental disorders which can counteract the awakeness part of it so I am not wired and fully awake.

Um im sorry but why didn’t the parents go get him? I mean not to blame, but….Especially after the friends told them he was acting so strangely. There was a lot that could have been prevented with a little more action. So I do not understand them. My brother lives 3.5 hrs away from me. Once when he was going through a hard time he called me to vent. As I was talking to him, I could feel something wasn’t right. He was talking strange. His voice was somber, he kept talking helpless. I hightailed it to him unbeknownst to him and when I finally got to his door and knocked he opened it shocked. He hugged me so tight. As soon as I got inside he just started crying. I say that to say. Sometimes ppl can’t express what they are going through and we have to do more work. I didn’t find out til a year later that he had been suicidal and he said I saved his life. When you see or feel the signs, don’t ignore it ppl. We all are going through things. Let’s help each other out!

I get they didn’t think this would happen, but the slightest red flag like me not answering my phone alerts my mom and dad to finding every single way to make sure I’m ok, even if that means them driving to a different state. in college i had a BAD adderall problem... its the same thing as Vyvanse. i litterally drove for hours and sat places just like him.. i didnt tell anyone until after tho. sustained abuse and no food and little sleep with those controlled substances causes a big change in how sad you get but also how happy you get.. im sure he wasnt even drinking just was very very overwhelmed. i left a college party once drive one way for an hour, sad.. woke up on the side of the highway by a sheriff tapping on my window. because of adderall/vyvanse increasing your heart rate its like mini adrenaline. although i smelled like liquor i passed my field sobriety test. after i had a huge feeling of guilt and overwhelm that was months long. i feel he had the same issue happen and tried to kill himself & he couldnt deal with going back home and facing his feelings.. it all sounds simple on paper but genuiely i undestand his pov and id bet everything in my checking he was alive and prob still is.

When Bryce was about three hours away, the cop should've drove him home to make sure he was safe. I know it's a long drive, but when someone's life is on the line, that should've been done. The cop walking away thinking everything was fine even though Bryce had no alcohol or drugs in his car was the biggest mistake. If the officers are being called about situations like this from family or friends, something is definitely off. Christian thinking everything was fine when Bryce was almost home by following him while they were driving and then him waving and driving away from Bryce was also a big mistake. He should've followed him until he got home.
