Not true. They carry a bacteria that can lead to leprosy. But extremely rare.

@@gonzalomanriquezjr864 , which is probably not a good idea. My good friends father (a veterinarian) said that if you have a wound on your hand and you handle an armadillo, you are taking a risk.
