@bobllup1 For the clarinets, who are playing background fill, instead of the melody being carried by the trumpets? The trumpets are loud, but the clarinet fills can still be heard behind the melody. Given several woodwind comments of this nature, it would be good to keep in perspective that this is a band. That's why Meredith Willson's lyrics go, "Seventy-six trombones led the big parade, with a hundred and ten cornets close at hand..." Woodwinds generally don't carry melodies in marches.

flutes and clarinets need to play with more gusto wen they are featured but overall it was great!! ^_^

And some people train and practice, while others don't, and some years, there isn't full instrumentation on the other parts, all of which is going to change that balance.
