I always wonder why MoRan and ChuWanning didn’t recognize each other from their first interaction of Wanning covering and feeding a frozen and starved MoRan. But they were both younger and a lot happened after, by descriptions in the novel though I think they both recognized each other but didn’t realize it exactly. MoRan when choosing a shizun was instantly attracted to chu wannings eyes and thought he looked kind. That’s because he vaguely remembered the kind young man who fed him when he was starving and covered him with a cloak that was also filled with wannings scent which he also remembered but couldn’t pin point why. MoRan was also the main catalyst to why chu Wanning defected from his shizun and wanted to go out and help the mortal world. This is just small things but damn meat buns writings/novels are always so f*cking amazing it’s not even funny. Erha will always be my favorite but yuwu is also amazing and so is case file compendium.
