@@theetectonic1265 I did believe it or not. I was one of the few people who did call him one before he died. I found his music back in March 2018, when he put 999 ep on YT for the first time. I think it was like a week or two after or something. But yeah I see how you could think I didn’t. There are a lot who only found him after. I wish more people did appreciate him at least as much as I did and the other people who loved him before. But it is what it is.

Abyss is you do something right now but then in the future, you don’t do that thing. For example, people go to college to get a degree and they end up doing 9-5 jobs in different fields so he/she is in an abyss. Basically, he is saying don't waste your time on things you don't want to do, but do something that you are passionate about and that makes you happy. Like some others have mentioned... The concept of the video is a reference to his dream in verse 2. Ally said he was sleeping once and stopped breathing, she thought he was dead (opiate OD can cause you to stop breathing in sleep, ataxic breathing) and he woke up to her crying. He lied to her saying he was just in a deep sleep but he was actually dreaming that he was dying and being unable to wake up.
