@Robert Koch! Nah. Rather the other way around that they get to taste the life of being disabled for a little while. Disability in itself is not a bad thing. Sadly society view us as imperfect and unworty sadly. They rather try fix us than to fix a ramp or an elevator and other accesibilities. And yes i am myself living with arthritis, a hearing impairment and a small brain damage after two bacterial meningitises, my first missdiagnosed.

My story is 100% based on this kind of story... I've met a girl in school 6 years ago. She's the most friendly, kind and Smart girl I've ever seen . I met her because I have no friends & she's the only one who wants me to be her only friend. Years pass when we were studying at university, i get to tell her how i feel and she feels the same way as i do. So she was my GF. Until one day, we were gonna crossed the road when suddenly a speeding car heading towards us. She quickly push me away instead of me getting hit. She lost her leg and in a wheelchair because of me. my family didn't like her and treated her differently just because of her "disability". One day my parents apologise to her because if it's wasn't her, i would've no longer on this planet. And to this day I'm so grateful that my girlfriend(now wife) are happy with our lives together ❤️ TBH, this video deserves a million likes and subscribes❤️

I second with a lot of you on the main message. It isn't like anyone has ever chosen to be disabled and you should be there for them. They are not objects to be made fun of. They are people who have endured an injury or have been blessed with a different way of seeing the world their whole life. They are people and so are we. Just because anyone is different does not mean it gives anyone the right to say a rude comment, snide remarks, or any weird face. If they need help, help them. If they don't, let them take care of what they can on their own. When you get diagnosed with a terminal disability, like being paralyzed, you lose some amount of independence. Whatever they can do on their own, let them do it, because it can make them feel better. You aced a test, but you cheated or had your friend whisper the answers to you. Do yo feel good about it? How about you aced a test because you studied really hard and your parents are taking you out to ice-cream. How do you feel about it now? Proud?

It's not less than any films. The acting quality is far better than Hollywood's. Each and every character of this movie acted well.

I am currently experiencing this right now. My parents told me that they don't want me to date a guy because and only because of his disability! Its horrible :(

It hurts me so much to see his parents, not accepting his girlfriend just because she is in a wheelchair. I never was in a wheel chair, and I hope I will not be, but I had a friend who was in one, so I know how painful that is.

Two years ago I got a virus and was unable to walk or use my hands for two years, the drs were not understanding nor were people around me, I was a chore to them, I now know what people are like when the chips are down.

Physically disabled people should not be treated like that but they must be supported and motivated

Good to see lot of comments from very compassionate feelings for people with disabilities. But I say from my experiences. I have not come across a single person in my life who can be very committed and positive about dealing with people with disabilities with this level of compassion and empathy all along. To be honest, I believe that how the parents feel here is 100% same as ANYONE would feel when it comes to your family but more than Kate, I will be proud of parents who really apologize for what they did to Kate and accept her to their family with pure heart..

I have a great disabled friends and I never thought of them as a different people, because of their disabilities. Sometimes they teach me on how to overcome something that looks too hard. One of my great friends is a multiple disabled Olympian winner and he started this when he lost his legs. I don't get racism over anything, disabilities, skin colour or religion or whatever. I simply don't get where it comes from?
