A childhood cat of mine died a few years ago, and he and my dad had a really sweet bond. We had to put him down because of urinary issues (we couldn't afford the surgeries and they weren't garrenteed to work) in a few of the cats favorite spots, I found whiskers, a tuft of hair, and a shed claw. I preserved them in frame and gave it to my dad and he still has it on his desk. Some people may find it dirty or weird, but it's just a way of remembering or cherishing

The couple with the cats are relationship goals 😍 and restoring my faith in humanity 💓 So beautiful to see these people working as a team to dedicate their lives to helping animals and giving them a loving home. .... People don't realize it's ESSENTIAL to leave a will to your pets because BAAAAD things happen to animals after people pass away....I've witnessed it personally. Grandparents dedicate their lives to their families, and once they pass away, none of the family members want to adopt the grandparent's pets and will send them to the shelter where they will be killed. I've dealt with various situations where I work with the elderly, and people get disgustingly greedy about sending old people away to homes, getting rid of their pets against their will (pets they love dearly, and the pets love them just as much and worship the ground they walk on) and dividing up property so they can can make a buck. When elderly people are forced into care facilities or die, the state can take the animals and send them to the shelter, and usually these are senior cats and dogs, which are the quickest to be killed at the shelter. People also have to keep in mind that your family members, even if they loved you, don't do right by your pets after you die. They sadly see no value in the animal after the person has passed, even though the pet meant THE WORLD to the person and they would roll in their graves if they knew how their family is disregarding their pets to shelters or treating them like they don't matter. It's a horrible way to dishonor a family member's memory by discarding their much loved pets. The best thing to do is leave the house and some assets/money to a family member, under the stipulation that they provide lifelong caretaking of the pet, and make a separate monthly allowance that is only allotted for the pet's needs on a monthly basis. There could also be money put aside for a professional to check in every so often to assure the family member is meeting the stipulations in the will.

They are not native to the area which means I should have the right to shoot them all in the face but because this country has decided to give human qualities to a animal with no love or regard for human, we cannot shoot them like we must. In Australia you get paid to shoot them because every single cat is a danger to the ecosystem. Just get a dog because first they actually love you and second dogs once domesticated are to stupid to survive in the wild and do not make a huge impact on wildlife. I can’t believed it is legal to kill wild boar because they are an intrusive species but we cannot kill cats in the U.S. when they are the worst intrusive species.

Cats and animals are usually cleaner than humans. I say that as someone that cleans houses professionally. It's human beings that create all the messes. A well maintained home with animals will smell better than a regular person with no animals that doesn't deep clean their home as often as people with animals usually do. People without animals tend to get lazier in their homes because they have less responsibilities in the house.

I was thinking this too. Like cats kind of have a distinct smell, the same way a dog does too. A big reason why I wouldn’t want any (besides the fact that I’m highly allergic) is that I don’t like their smell lol 😅

I ain’t never seen cats n dogs love someone the way our cats n dogs loved my grandma, she used to have our cat in her lap and our dog will literally pull the cat down off her lap from it’s tail and then jump on my grandmas lap afterwards! the cat used to bite my grandmas cheeks but didn’t hurt her at all that was their way of showing her their love and appreciation I never seen nothing like that before, we used to have rabbits,goats,chickens,dogs,cats, and even a baby turtle I loved it
