I talked to a lot of people about this movie throughout the years, and some of them missed one of the most important points: leaving society doesn’t mean living completely alone forever. There is other people that don’t give a crap about society and the games they like to play, as Chris (the guy who inspired the book and movie) found out in his journey, but he was determined to live alone in Alaska, where he learned too late perhaps his most important lesson: “Happiness only real when shared.”

Time is the most valuable thing in existence. No matter if you're rich or poor - everyone has a limited time on Earth. Spend it wisely. 2 years ago I sold everything I owned and now I travel full time and live a nomadic life. I cannot recommend it enough - it's the best decision I've ever made. This song and the movie helped to inspire me.

Then you have missed out IMO. The 90's were great and all but you only have his younger voice. He grew up, played a bunch of live music and his voice is still amazing.

This song is one of those songs that will never fail to make me emotional. I grew up listening to it, and when I listened to it again for the first time in years in the beginning of this year, I cried. Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam make songs that always make me feel strong emotions, which is why I am such a big fan of them.

He has always been criticized for his way of thinking, for his expressed opinions. I like the bands that make you think. What is the story behind? Like Nightwish for example. You have to dig deeper. Have I seen it this way? And that voice.... I've seen them on Pinkpop '92. It was awesome.

On point and great reacton Johnny as always . The movie "into the wild" is about , top student and athlete Christopher McCandless who abandons his possessions and gives his entire $24,000 savings account to charity and hitchhikes to Alaska to live in the wilderness. Along the way, Christopher encounters a series of characters that shape his life. The bus in where he lived is removed a little while ago as to many tourists visited that place which was quite dangerous I have done the rock jump from about 14 meters ( a real motivator it is ) ... and i have Rafted in the Ardeche and some other places .. Canada would be nice lol New Zealand to but .. in Germany or France i would be ok as well lol

Incredible song, incredible movie, incredible story.... unfortunately the bus is no longer at that location in Alaska. I'm thru hiking the Pacific Crest trail in 2022, just to experience the amazing beauty of the wilderness.

Watch the movie into the wild. It’s about a man fighting society and the music video comes from the movie. The real story is of Christopher Mccandles
