V loves jazz and r & b. This translates to him singing in within a genre which has been called neo-soul. You did mention Maxwell who was one of the early developers of neo-soul Maxwell has become identified with this kind of music but by no means is alone in singing or writing material in it. Neo-soul does have roots in 1970's soul which is why it is called neo. None of its practitioners should not be minimized or accused of pilfering for utilizing some of the same methods of conveyance that old timers might remember including Maxwell. If V sounds a bit like Maxwell to you it is probably because V as a student of music has listened to Maxwell and many other soul artists, as have Americans who perform neo-soul. BTS is renowned for its constant exploration of music from America, particularly hip hop. The interesting thing is If you analyze what V is singing about, it is unlike anyone else, except for certain BTS songs which were presented in a different genres. "Singularity" uses musical coloration from the past to tell a story of V's inner struggles within the context of the psychology of Karl Jung. Maybe the actual music video would help you understand the song a bit more as it actually is quite deep and not just baby making music.

BTS has a series of music videos that have a deep storyline, i HIGHLY recommend you react to them, the songs are GREAT, (the lyrics don’t go along w/ the storyline, so captions aren’t necessarily needed, but feel free to turn them on) start with “I Need U (original vers.)” then “On Stage : Prologue” next comes “Run” and after that i’d say you should react to all the Wings short films, “#1 Begin” then “#2 Lie” after that comes “#3 Stigma”, theres 7 in total, easy to find....have fun reacting!! post notifications are ON

Leila E Have you read The Notes & the webtoon Save Me? It helps understand the storyline better & if you didn’t know BigHit is working on a drama series & another game that are going to be really filling in the storyline. Some people are complaining because they are going to use actors instead of BTS in the drama but like the guys are busy with their music & stuff. It is supposed to go all the way back to how their characters from the storyline meet & everything so I’m really excited about it. The game looks amazing from the clip they dropped about it a couple months ago.
