It's hard to describe what type of music they are specifically. They like to change things up. I wouldn't call them Rage or "bad boys" but I see why people say that. I read an article about them once that I cant remember who wrote it but the author basically said "they think of music as their playground and they are willing to try anything and still give it their own unique flare" I think that describes them best.

yeah, because they write and make their own music and especially because all of them partake in songwriting at LEAST occasionally with 3 of them having credits on pretty much all of skz songs, the music set is quite diverse. lots of different types of sounds, most of their title tracks have a somewhat similar sort of realm they're in but the rest of the albums and also solo work, unit songs, etc are really different. Changbin and Felix's song "because" is in no way similar to gods menu or venon or most of their other work.

Stray Kids have a lot of bangers that are giving the middle finger to the haters. Unlike most Kpop groups they don’t make music to increase their popularity, they create music that means something to them. 2023 and 2024 Stray Kids have shown they are the Kings of Kpop 4th Generation. They are 8 brothers who all sing, rap and dance. The song Fam is an introduction to their family dynamic. These guys have literally shed blood, sweat and tears for each other. They are not just guys in a Kpop group, they are brothers who as Bang Chan said recently in an interview “we are brothers who share a vision and goals”. They are ride a die for each other and dedicated to their fans.

Han, agreed. That man is immensely talented. SO much so. Great rapper, great vicalist, grest songwriter and producer, and unbelievable performer. Love him. Live the whole group to the end of time. Its funny though, this is one song that really wasn't for me in the way 99% of their other 157 songs are. Lol But i really respect the fact they have covered so many genres and sub-genres... something like 45 of them now. Yes, they are often called the Korean Green Day × Lincoln Park w/ a healthy mix of straight up Hiphop. But I hope you guys check out some more! (Tip.. Go with songs that seem to be highly recommended if you do decide to give them a chance. We have some fans who dont give a damn about guiding a fan through the groups discography in a way that is centered around them.) Stray Kids music videos are the best in k-pop. The production and editing is next level and they always throw in so much detail, I go back and watch them again and still spot something new. I am sure that a lot of STAYS are giving info. So please allow this STAY to help out a little. So in k pop all group, no matter if it's a G.G. or B.G., all of them give their fandom a name, and a meaning. For example: BTS, which stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan. The English translation is Bulletproof Boy Scouts. They gave us the name of ARMY, which happens to be an acronym. It stands for Adorable Representative MC for Youth. Which with BTS it gives off the meaning of a military that will always back BTS, protect them, and always support them. As for Stray Kids, STAY also has special meaning. It's the R. Felix once explained that when the R is removed, it creates STAYs. And it turns out that the R is the "Reason" Stay is there for and with the group. There is a lryic in their debut song, "District 9," that says, "Stray Kids, Everywhere around the World." And later they added on,"You make Stray Kids Stay." This has become their motto and have put the pharse at the end of many their videos. As for their genre, I would never put them in the punk arena. But that is me. I don't think they should be put into any category or genre due to the fact that they write and produce their own music. They like to work with all kinds of different sounds. But they do lean a lot of the time towards hip hop (w/a strong rap influence), dubstep, electro funk and pop, as well as dance pop. Some have said that they have a "dark & experimental" sound. Very drum forward, with rap being very prominent. A couple of songs you may want to definitely check out are: "District 9", "Miroh", "Thunderous", and even "Side Effects." However, one of my all-time favorites of theirs happen to be "Awkward Silence ", and "Get Cool." You have to remember that they debuted in 2018, and they have a lot of music. All of the songs I have named do have MV's. And there is more to them than just "God's Menu." One last thing of this very long post. There is more to k pop than just BTS and Stray Kids. There are so many groups, both male and female, that are amazing. My suggestion is that you may want to do a deep dive into k pop in general. At least that way, you could understand why so many fans are into it. Why so many ppl can go over the deep end in regards to it. And trust me when I say there is a very dark side to k pop. One that might surprise you.

Loved your reactions! Stray kids are AMAZING. You cant go wrong reacting to any of their songs. My faves are megaverse, easy, thunderous, maniac, and back door. But like I said, you really cant go wrong with any of their songs. Also, if you like dance groups and killer choreo check out their dance practices! Especially easy, domino, and thunderous. They are out of this world. Oooooo, and dont foget Hyunjins 3 dances when the party's over, play with fire, and his AOTM motley crew! Mind blowing.
