Of course they're not worth 1k, but because of the crappy NEC-Tokin caps Sony used a lot of them are not working anymore. So in the near future they might go over the original retail price.

Not completely strange but- I don’t go to garage sales often but a few months back I struck gold. 20 bucks for a GameCube and wave bird controller. Then my buddies and I bought a whole box full of movies for $5. We dug through it...ended up finding Zelda Twilight Princess for the GameCube in there. Crazy finds and people offer this stuff for VERY cheap prices.

Question for you. Possible future video idea. You often talk about trading in games that you buy in deals that were throw ins and offer little to no profit to resell after fees. Where do you trade your games in at? Typically how many games do you take in at a time in? Do you prefer store credit or cash? What does that transaction look like. The red flag that I noticed on the back of the NES classics was that Snow Brothers was listed as one of the games. That was not one of the preloaded games on the US version for sure. It looks like the writing on the back is in French, but the European version of the NES classic’s box was a lot different looking on the front...

I had the opposite (normal situation) today. Found a box with few gamecube and PS1 games with gaming magazines and anime dvds. I asked the lady and she told me that she needed to call her son. I see you found the game list discrepancy on the NES Classic, but also take a look at the wall plug adapter and the HDMI cable. They both should have Nintendo branding on them. I have found that the bootleg versions often have generic ones.

Been doing garage sales for over 20 years and 95% of the time they never call me back when I leave my number. I learned to ask for there number but again 95% of the time they won't give it to you. Very Frustrating especially when they tell you they had a whole bunch of retro goods in the basement somewhere.. A guy I visited told some years ago told me he had over 100 nes games and Sega games just sitting in boxes somewhere in his attic that he would love to get rid of..... guy never called me back :(
