Truth : Alexander was brought to knees twice by poras he was forced to retreat even though alexander won the battle he suffered miserably his army's was brought to no. Of 1/3 of total and his favourite horse also died in battle , after this Alexander realized if one king of a small kingdom of india could make him so miserable what would happen if he fought the whole india and even after realisation he wanted to march forward but there was a samrat standing in his way , he was king of magadh ,dhananad , Alexander only had 40000 foot soldiers and 7000 horse riders but magadh had 450000 foot soldiers 20000 horse riders 6000 elephant riders and so on so he deliberately made a false mutiny among his soldiers and retreated 😂

If you know about Alexandra then you know he wasn’t a man who retreats while being outnumbered and in my theory he might have won the war with dhana nand cause if he was to be that good Chanakya/chandragupta maurya wouldn’t be able dethrone him , and in the anabasis of Alexandra(by arrian) it is written that it was not the Alexandra rather it was his army who started to disagree with him and thought he will never stop until everyone will die

Asoka said 400,000 were killed but historians think he may have exaggerated the carnage , Mauryan empire was likely same size as United nanda when they marched against Alexander which would be little over 400,000 and kalinga was much smaller so even if he killed almost everyone it would still be 100-150 thousand or less .

The Truth the World Won't Tell You - (Buddhist Emperor Alexander the Great) Alexander the Great wanted to build an empire to the ends of the earth. The teacher of Emperor Alexander was the great Greek philosopher Aristotle. Aristotle describes the world as a flat disk for the emperor Alexander the Great, and other imperialistic issues besides religious principles are central. In the end, only the two kingdoms of India and China were left for Emperor Alexander to conquer. It is said that North India was annexed to Greece and handed back to India and then went to Greece While capable of easily conquering the two kingdoms . The most famous animal in world history, Alexander the Great's horse, Bucephalus, goes on its last journey during the invasion of northern India. Alexander the Great's invasion of countries ends with his friendship with a Buddhist monk in Northern India, so the Greek Emperor Alexander became a Buddhist and left Northern India for Greece. Buddhism ended Alexander the Great's invasion of countries. After Alexander the Great became a Buddhist, the Greek leaders including Aristotle tried to stop Alexander the Great's journey to Greece and blocked the way to Greece through tactics because the huge empire he created after he came to Greece would become a Buddhist empire.

Okay It was the bloodiest defeat portuguese ever had in asia. There was much debate who was the portugese commander ...Sinhala sources say his name was Lacerda and Portuguese sourceas he was a guy names menezes who came from goa to defeat sinhala armies. Several decades before the battle Portuguese assasinated king Buvanekabahu VI of Sri Jayawardanapura kotte who was the king of all Sinhala and replaced him by a puppet catholic ruler. Former provinces of Sithawaka and kandy became independence against portugese. So portuguese send 1600 soldiers to Sithawaka to defeat Buvanekabahus brother Mayadunne. Mayadunne on the other hand was much relaxed and told his son Tikiri Bandara to take care of the tiny portugese problem.🤣 This 1600 were professional soldiers. Unlike the men who were under Tikiri who were mostly peasant levies. But it was said that portuguese soldiers warned their commander about the rumor about prince Tikiri being a millitary genius. Of course the cocky commander dissmissed them as just rumours. When he came to Mulleriyawa padifields he was relaxed and unprepared for an ambush. Tikiris men were hiding in all over the place. Soon it became a intense close quarter battle and Tikiri came out victorious annihilating everyone in portuguese side. Both sides had around the same numbers of troops. It was said that the fields of Mulleria and nearby rivers became red by the bloodshed done by Tikiri Bandara. We still even have songs about the battle🤣🤣
