This was recorded on betamax and is a first generation off cable. It was transferred to digital about 15 years ago.

Beta was actually way better quality especially over time than VHS. Most local tv news stations used Betamax tapes and cameras throughout the 90’s and early 2000s. Those cameras were heavy

The color was actually very good in 1980, but the hue on the import was slightly off. I may go back and correct that and repost in the future. Sorry. (FYI, There is or was a high quality one inch type C original recording from the day we launched in the CNN Atlanta library and in the digital video archive, not sure duration.}
