As a Dutch Australian who drove a 1969 VW campervan the length and breadth of USA and Canada (all the way to the northern most point of Yukon Territory to Inuvik) in the 80's and having enjoyed the TV series Deadwood it was interesting to come along for the ride through the Black Hills to see Deadwood through your RV's window. Good format video to enjoy the US's roads, some narration when needed, some light music when needed, all good. Greetings from the Train Lord in South Australia.

It’s not a fluke that area attracts so many motorcycle riders to attend the Sturgis Rally. Great wide open blue skies over some of the best motorcycling roads and scenery anywhere. It’s a bucket list must do for anyone with a motorcycle, leathers not required.

chris younts - yes, the Parkway is nice when not cluttered with vehicles swarming it from all over the East Coast. But the draw for the Black Hills is the vast spiderweb of highways to explore when you find one too congested. Getting off the BRP finds you on potholed curvy narrow roads with slow speed limits making it difficult to pass those enjoying slow drives in the country. Out west you can really stretch your motorcycle’s legs, so to speak. Much different than like the Tail of the Dragon on weekends.

We went to South Dakota last year with our 5th wheel. When we went to Deadwood, there was a lot of construction. Looks good now. We stayed at a campground in Spearfish, which was one of the nicest campgrounds we ever stayed at. Thanks for allowing us to revisit the area.

Went to high school and college in Spearfish. I returned to Deadwood several years later and every old historicial building had been converted to a casino. I went in and found they had moved the relics back and set the machines in front. You could still find the card hand that Doc Holliday was holding when he was gunned down, along with the revolver. A few years later that display was gone and they added more machines.

Good morning Russ, We were there back in 1980 ish, sure would like to go back again. Really enjoy this virtual vacation you are taking us on! Hey, can you do a live feed while you are at your campground before you leave? It would be so interesting to hear about the stuff you have seen that you haven't mentioned in the videos. Maybe have My Wind Stuff join in too. Thanks! See You Soon!

spent a few days in Deadwood mid-April 2000 at the Mineral Springs hotel, it snowed at least 2 feet overnight and could hardly walk the streets. Wild Bill Hickok's grave is there at Boot Hill....he got shot at a poker game.

Ah they are all eating bbq drinking beer and enjoying the ladies. All the music and bright shiny motorcycles I can't imagine what they would get from siteseeing. I think they do all these other towns going to and from the party..... but still nothing like a nice local ride with a few new buddies so I get your question.... 👍
