Historic Door County - Shipbuilding

Nothing defines the city of Sturgeon Bay more than the shipyards that have been the county’s largest employers for nearly a century. Those shipyards put the city on the international map, building lakers that moved goods throughout the country, yachts that met the specification of the most discerning buyers from around the globe, and warships that helped defeat the Nazis in World War II. I never knew the 1000 footers were built there. Was the Cort built there. I remember when it first passed through the Poe Lock, summer of 71

So it sounds we need a war to have growth.....and stay at war to have jobs.....so the mindless gray masses be happy, that is if at war time everything did grow X 3 and after the war 3/4 go in to dust, and it was hard to change , a little bit of flexibility lack of so the Industry keep going, to keep still man at work, good man that have skills, same problem we faces in the 60's 80's and at 2000's, not much changes, it looks like we do not learn in order to change, or maybe we truly need a war kind conflict in order to have a little market boom, sad sad sad. TH
