The name Hudson Avenue conjures images of grand mansions and a bygone era for anyone living in Newark, Ohio. The history of Hudson Avenue is entwined with the history of the city, from its earliest days until the present. In fact, many of Newark’s leading industrialists and businessmen made their homes here. Learn from Cory Stutes, Museum Curator at The Works, how the neighborhood grew and who’s responsible for building the homes that line this famous street.

Just found this presentation. ....grew up on Hudson and was married at the home at 444 Hudson....beautiful street with wonderful memories ...

My grandfather saved many of the beveled glass windows from the houses when 16 was put in in Newark a number of them were restored and placed into my parents home built to look like a Victorian era home

Thanks so much for this! I drive up Hudson a lot and marvel at the historic homes there -- keep wanting to research them but never get around to it. This is perfect.

I enjoyed this so much! Have you ever researched all the old churches in downtown Newark? I would love to see that!

I wish you would do a video in the Danner Mansion. This video was amazing. I almost bought the house that was on sale a couple of years ago but they wanted too much at the time. They eventually came down and I regret not waiting for the price to lower :(.
