I live in Lake Wales and work at Circle of Friends Ministry on Stuart Avenue you passed right in front our building. We are next to the Fazzini law firm with the gated garden. Our building used to be an old movie theatre. We are a day program for special needs individuals. We love people stopping in and visiting!

If you're ever near Atlanta GA, there is a railroad museum close by. . It's called Southeastern Railway Museum. It's located on Buford Highway in Duluth, GA. Open Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sunday. They usually have a train you can ride most days. They have a website.

If you are in California, please do the Disneyland and California Adventure opening filming locations. Also, 3 main WDW parks down, 1 to go!

They Lake Wales City Council are still debating what they are going to do with the former Hotal. IMHO convert it to a big B&B! But we will see! It might be a good idea to contact the City on it's future! You made my trip To Lake Wales easier, thanks! Finally, I can say you have a few more placs of historic significance in Lake Wales so a car tour is needed. Just a suggestion!

That looks like an awesome downtown area and train depot. I haven't really explored much of Lake Wales outside of visiting Bok Tower, but I'll definitely have to go do some more exploring next time I'm in the area.

We are always in Lake Wales but haven't vlogged much there........Well the next time you are in this area let us know.....we can collab!! We are always all over west central Florida and Polk County!! We need some of that Micah rub that a collab would give us! Stay safe and stay weird!!! There used to be a Gator's Dockside in that old historic downtown area back in early 2000's.....I remember eating there when we passed thru town.

Al Capone, I'm sure use to own Mansion in Lake Wales as I been trying to search for it but can't find anything as it use to be online. It would have been the Mansion on Masterpiece Rd, does anyone else know of this?

Update to 2024 : lake Wales is getting a 20 million $ restoration of it's downtown and it will include the 1920s great Gatsby like hotel that Al Capone etc frequented! It's looking really nice with cathedral oaks all along the streets Come back to see soon Slated to finish 2025 Population boom in Polk county continues and lake Wales envisioned is committed to making the development fit the city in a garden theme that Frederick law olmstead created with Bok of bok tower fame also in town Million $ in trails also being put in around park Come visit again soon ;)

I was born in raised in Lake Wales, graduated from the highschool in 2000. Lake Wales was such an amazing place to live, unfortunately, the small town vibe isn't going to last long. The city is seeking to expand residentially quite extensively, going to destroy the vibe it has had for so long.
