Thank you for this video. I grew up there. Left in '82. Waterfront has completley changed.

That's one constant that I've seen in all the Hudson River Valley towns....beautiful waterfronts. Most were industrial and overgrown years ago so I'm glad to see all the changes.

@@DestinationMan Nice to see all the trails by the arches.In my day, that area was a dangerous place. My Aunt was mugged on the aqueduct walking from Main to Ann back In the 70's. She did not want let go of her purse and wound up with a broken wrist.

Great video! Same as Samuel, I grew up there across the street from the library. I had no idea about the walkway under the double arch! I must go back to O-Town and visit this along with revisiting my hang out days at Washington Square a.k.a "The Square", sleigh riding on flattened cardboard boxes on death hill behind the old library, and my good ol' elementary school for 8 years--St. Ann's.

The walkway was amazing. It's really unique!

Very beautiful and pleasing. My interest grew after knowing about Sing Sing. Wanted to see the location around the prison. Your video did complete justice. Thank u it was really very nice.

Your welcome! The prison is super interesting. You can get pretty close to it.

I used to ride my bicycle just outside the walls of Sing Sing as a young boy. The well behaved inmates were outside the walls on the grounds cutting grass often in the summer when I would ride by them. They never bothered me.

How much would you say you need to live in Ossining? I’m thinking of moving from Las Vegas to work in New York, but I didn’t want to live in an apartment so I was looking for houses within 1 hour commute

It's not that expensive. Definitely cheaper than most Hudson River Valley towns. The median house price is about $500k.

I don't remember these waterfront parks in my childhood!
@DestinationMan2 жыл бұрын
Probably because they're relatively new. Most of the waterfront was heavily industrialized all throughout the Hudson River Valley until towns started to redevelop them

The greenway trail was supposed to go under the bridge shown 8:43 8:50 and go further down but i forgot the reason why they didnt. Would have been cool to see tho

interesting....probably because of lack of funds.
