In Battlefield Ukraine, all the usual suspects are hard at work: battles over resources, money, and miscommunication. This predictive novel explores a potential war between NATO and Russia over the fate of the separatist regions in eastern Ukraine.... You'll hope this realistic scenario doesn't become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Already listened to the first three in the series and can now binge the final books. Thanks and blessings for these and hopefully more of this genre in the future.

I've just started and find it a decent fantasy leaning highly in Russian influence. In reality Ukraine had its' borders attacked and overrun Are we to feel sorry for Russian commanders who sorrow fully went forward and continue to annihilate all foes?!

Although only a story, it stings to think of a British Government capitulating. Later on in the story the SAS are still operating?

This book has aged poorly, The Russians can't even beat the Ukrainian army! Now that the Ukrainian occupies Russian territory, Russia has the second best army in Russia! Haha!

Russia has defeated Nato on every level. 1. Diplomatically 2. Economicly 3. Militarily Everything Nato has thrown at them they have defeated like wow 200 billion dollars worth. The Russians have destroyed 2 Ukrainian armies and are in the process of destroying the 3rd...don't know where the 4th is coming from ? No army in the world can match the battle hardened aRussian army of 2024. Why do you think Nato won't commit troops...?

Sorry, but I'll take Tom Clancy any day of the week. This story has a looooooong "Cast list," none of whom (on the Ukranian side anyway) feel like genuine people. Just standees lined up waiting for something to happen to them so the plot can move. You seldom get the chance to feel genuine human emotion about the most human of events. Very well-educated and experienced author, but he needs to learn to write much deeper people and emotions and thread them through his plot. There was never a point at which I felt like someone standing in the middle of a protest was bleeding real blood when they were fired upon. Nor could I tell you in detail about many of the "apparatchiki" who paste this story together. five or ten minutes after they make a "cameo" and then give way to another character on the playbill. I can and do put some of this down to a first book. But after 45 minutes, there was no one I could identify with, and after an hour, no one I cared about as far as this version of history is concerned. Before some idiot responds with "Just stop reading" or some other "wisdom," Remember that the first book touches upon true events that have gone on for two years. This real event is filled with people that everyone with an IQ out of double digits can look up on the Net, By comparison, the characters in this book are flat and the conversion of real events into the offered literary history is jarring and feels fake in many ways.
