Im happy to see once an actual historically accurate potrayal especially in not making everyone but Jefferson an abolitionist just to prove this Slaves they owned Lafayette:0 (he was against slavery and even bought slaves just to free them) Laurens:0 (fought for abolition and led an all black regiment during the war) Mulligan:1 (Used his slave Cato has a spy on the British) Hamilton:2-3 (while he did always critize slavery during his life he owned 2-3 household slaves) Burr:6 (tried to pass a bill to free all slaves in new York but it failed and he himself owned six slaves) Washington: 317 (stated privately that he no longer wanted to be a slaveowner, that he did not want to buy and sell slaves or separate enslaved families, and that he supported a plan for gradual abolition in the United States. Still he kept 124 slaves until his death when he freed one in his testament and stated that the other 123 would be freed upon the death of his wife witch would happen a year later) Jefferson:600 (Throughout his entire life, he was publicly a consistent opponent of slavery. Calling it a “moral depravity” and a “hideous blot,”he believed that slavery presented the greatest threat to the survival of the new American nation. Witch his wierd since he was literally one of biggest slave owners in the whole United States and his the president witch owned the most slaves.)

Fun facts about Lafayette (cause he is my fav) -He danced so bad that that queen Maria of France laughed at him. -To come to the USA he had to disguise himself, and it is said that he disguised himself as a woman -He was one of the soldiers who had the closest relationship to Washington, he considered Washingon his father and Washington considered him his son. -He was also an orphan at twelve, not unlike Alexander, his mother died at that age and his father died when he was two. -He went to the revolution mostly to seek personal glory. -He told Jefferson and Washington (really close friends of his) to free their slaves, but neither of them listened to him lol. -After he got out of prison (5 years there) they said to have found him in a sickly, really bad state. -Also Napoleon is the one who got him out, tough Angelica and his husband tried but failed. -Wasington didn't smile much cause it hurt, he had a dental problem (ik its not Lafayette but idc) If there's a fact that is wrong feel free to correct me

Fun Fact! In 1776, Thomas Jefferson was actually in America! He didn't set sail for France until 1784!!

@@tasneemabdelhameed3004 The musical is not 100% accurate, a lot of the details are absolutely wrong in their entirety 😭🙏 All of My Shot/Aaron Burr, Sir and The Story of Tonight is inaccurate considering they met at far different dates (like he met Mulligan in 1773, Lafayette and Laurens in 1777, and the timeline for when he met Burr is undocumented/unknown). Hamilton was never an abolitionist (although the show claims the four of them were), and he had friends before he met them all too. Not to add that Hamilton actually RESIGNED, he wasn't fired by Adams; in fact, when he resigned, Washington was still president. The Reynold's Affair is extremely inaccurate too, as he wasn't confronted by Madison, Burr and Jefferson. Also, there were 25 duel commandments, not 10. 👍 But anyway, "What'd I Miss" is lowkey a great song even if it's possibly inaccurate. SORRY FOR YAPPING 😼

Fun fact that might be useful, out of all of her sisters, eliza was the only one who was against slavery. Angelica wasnt, in fact, during eliza and Alex's wedding, angelica said that this would be much easier and faster if they had slaves. Not sure about peggy though

I’m confused. Hamilton wasn’t anti-slavery? I thought that he hated slavery in his early years because of what he saw on the island. Maybe I’m wrong.
@JaxxoАй бұрын
He was anti-slavery but not as against it as people often assume. He owned slaves (only a few, I believe) and while he was verbally against it, he never did anything to change or fix it, just like most of the other founding fathers did!
