Nothing wrong with having a soft spot for an axe....or a couple dozen....or maybe more... I just pulled the 36" straight haft on my old True Temper Welland Vale Pulaski and rehafted it with a 32" Adirondack style and talk about waking up an axe! Yours is a sweet traditional piece and now you need to do a real old school hiking kit, middle ages style!

I did look at everything I could find he made .I'm sure he has a market for those beautiful tools but I think he could be stuck in a rut with the big stuff . He needs to make something you can put on your hip and not dragged on the ground and with much less labor intensive . He sure has the skills there is no question there .
