Her only downside is Gambit, that needs to end! Gambit is being force fed for fans to like him and it isn't working! There are some Gambit fans , but that's just sympathy votes! Gambit comes in not even trying to build his appeal to fans while Rogue had to work her pretty Mississippian butt off extra hard to get famous, that makes me love her! She understand's that noone, not even in Marvel starts at the top because then you crash down. You have to earn your way up, that is exactly how Rogue got to the top! I will never like Gambit until I see him work his way up and even then, he'll never be on my favs list, I may respect his street level future fame, but compared to Rogue, he'll never be a icon on her level! Rogue is wasting her potential on a leech who is suckling off all the fame she's built up over the years! They are so desperate to get shine on Gambit, they're making him an alternate Spider-Man, he can't create his own fame like Rogue has! If you have to copy another hero's image because you can't seem to make sales, it's time to either kill off the character, or go back to the drawing board and work on the character some more! I hope one of those writers do our mutant icon a favor and hook her up with another icon perhaps one of the Avengers!

Rogue is one of my favorite x-men characters also I got her first appearance avengers annual 10 the repaint one, the uncanny x-men # 171 were she joined the x-men, and the four issue mini series of her. 😀👍

I like Rogue. I've got a Rogue Funko Pop!. Rogue is the Xena of the X-Men. Like Xena, she starts off as a villain, but turns good.

The Rogue that I remember from the Marvel comics, her origin story said that she had a power very similar to Wolverine's regeneration and healing. Then an alien that absorbs its victims tried to absorb her when she was a very small child, she kept regenerating and it became her. So, she has had the power to absorb 'and' the power to regenerate from the beginning of anything new. Does anyone else remember reading anything like this?

@@fatinachen1888, I must've made a mistake somewhere. Maybe it wasn't Rogue then. It's definitely before the year 2000, maybe the early 90's or late 80's and she was a baby, in a crib. Maybe part of some other superhero story, or in someone else's comic book. Maybe Spiderman or Wolverine.

Uncanny, this is how I would describe this episode, one of the sexiest mutants in the marvel universe, a very powerful and yet sensitive, the southern belle, is great to expand my knowledge of the character thanks to you, had no idea she modeled after Grace Jones and had no idea either about the sexual assault on her, although Mystique always seems to use her deep down I believe she loves her baby girl, Anna Paquin did the best she could with what she was given with the character during the fox era, and I believe that in the MCU the potential could be enormous and my choice for the role would be Alycia Debnam-Carey from Fear the Walking dead and the 100, again an exceptional job Jesse.

No, that's not true, Gambit was stable and emotionally mature, he helped Rogue countless times throughout the years with her problems. Also, there's more to being with someone than just touch and Rogue has far more common with Gambit than Colossus.

We were getting ready to meet for the 1st time when civid hapoened. Niw we have to wait more years. The love doesn't die but the agony of not beig able to touch your love us excruciating painful and heartbreaking. Gambit is a player and she wants and deserves a good man and children of her own with someone more stable then Remue Le Bhe in my opinion.

You're response is typical, don't actually try listing any examples from the comics to justify that, just be vague, exaggerate or just lie... well I'm sorry, but you're opinions are not facts. In Uncanny X-Men #297, Gambit holds Rogue and promises her that everything will be fine, something she wanted him to do. In X-Men #24, on their third date, he took her to fancy restaurant, and Gambit tells Rogue that names don't matter, what counts is what's on the inside. In Rogue #2, when Rogue wanted Gambit to hold her, he did, and once again he tells her that everything will be fine. There's lots more examples to use, but that looks like someone whose stable and emotionally mature. Gambit is only known for being with two women, Bella and Rogue, the only two he ever said the words "I love you" too and he married both of them... what a player... both had filings with others that didn't last long or mean anything and your relationship (good for you on that) is not similar to theirs. Rogue's powers never scare Gambit off, that might not seem like a huge deal; however, after what she did to her first boyfriend as a teenager, it’s clear that Gambit was constantly taking a huge risk every time he’s with Rogue. But for him, the risk was always worth it. Rogue and Gambit have evenly matched sarcasm, even in their first encounter, their flirting is entirely built on back-and-forth wordplay. Since they can’t always have a physical relationship, these humorous exchanges helped built a connection between the two. Both Rogue and Gambit have gone through similar struggles, their relationship also works well because of their similar backgrounds. Both characters have had to struggle with abandonment and morality because of their difficult childhoods. Again I could go on, but in the end, I'll just be wasting my time...
