Martin Rizzo-Martinez, CA State Parks Historian II and Tribal Liaison for the Santa Cruz District, gives a great talk about the ancestral Native American tribe of the Santa Cruz Mountains, The Ohlone. AKA, the people who lived on this land before us and continue to occupy parts of it. This video is really informative when it comes to outlining indigenous history, politics, and stewardship practices. It is geared more for docents, as it also explains the best way to teach this information, anyone can learn from it.
