Fun Fact: Those horse statues you saw at the horse museum, there's like 30 or so of them scattered throughout the town. You'll find a few of them out side like that. And other inside location. Horses are kind of big deal in this town, if you haven't noticed lol.. im not a part of that community but I'm sure there's alot of training, breeding, and whatever else people do with horses.. Aiken hosts 2 steeple chase races each year. The one in spring is a huge event. People who once lived in Aiken travel back just for it. Aikenights dress in their prettiest summer attire, men in seersucker suits and woman with floppy sun hats and formal sundresses, you get really drunk and sometimes watch the horses race.. but mostly just mingle with friends you haven't seen in ages. Its quite fun.

Another fun fact: Aiken also has the Largest privately owned urban forest in the country. Its located right there near where you recorded your video. 2100 square ft. and 70 miles of sand trails. Which people sometimes like to ride there horse in. But us non horse people just like to hike there.

@@sherryberry4577 A minor typo: Hitchcock Woods is 2,100 acres, not ft2.

I live in Aiken and have stayed there more than a few times. Spent my Honeymoon there in 1998. It caught fire on Thanksgiving day in 2002 I think. It took all day to put it out. Between the Wilcox Inn and the Partridge Inn 30 minutes away in Augusta Ga. Two of the most luxurious hotels in the Southeast. Both fill up during the normal Masters weeks in April.

I didn't even know a place like that existed in this country and that place is absolutely awesome Ken. Be nice to be rich enough to hang out there for a week. Thanks for the video tour.
