I started at 2015 but only played for a month and took a break, I came back to play the game to realise that it was on mobile in 2016 I really miss the old animations, sounds, old operative names and guns. I remember when back then everyone was a noob it was so easy and simple, meeting new friends and building a clan [Silv] Australian 2017-2018 clan with them having fun etc and one by one they started leaving and never seen again( they’re accounts have been terminated due to inactivity for 2 years) 2018 the end of the golden era was decent but it was falling due to enormous amounts of hackers! Took a break the whole year for 2020 and half of 2021 because of cringey toxicity and dramas and somehow I’m better than my old skills having a break from the game taught me to relearn and learn from my old rush play style😭😀

2017-2018 (before CFE introduced Raid map, changed menu and added critical pass) were THE best years. Unfortunately, after live LAN in Seattle, when Gankstars won, CFE decided to r.i.p. the competitive scene of the game

I started in 2017 and left in 2019. Those were the best years (exclude 2018). Then I left and came back in November 2021 (I didn't have phone since March 2020 till July 2021). I was shocked at how much the things changed. I was hit by a wave of nostalgia and memories. It was still a good game. There wasn't anything to be disappointed at. But just...Idk...It was not the same... Then I left after a month or so and came back in April 2022 and since then I am playing almost constantly. I avoid competitive. The community is so toxic full of 8 year old children. In custom I can actually enjoy it... But... It is not the same.

2015-2016 was the og 2017 was it's peak From 2018 and on the game went downhill in popularity If only they created all these new things earlier the game would still be popular. It suffered so bad from lack of content, no tournaments, and bad anticheat.

I started playing in mid-2015 , C-Ops was available Facebook games and free games websites (I was very young at the time, played mostly on facebook because thats all i know and i have no knowledge of Steam or Pirating) The moment I saw the footages of 2016, Nostalgia just slapped me hard, I played mostly in PC before 2018, I played barely in 2018 and I completely stopped playing in 2019, after 3 years hiatus, I came back 4 days ago, somehow, I’m still fairly decent and getting used to the new scoped rifles, call out button thing, and entirely revamped legacy, and new maps. This video is hella nice for putting old footages of the game. God I miss that old sharp edges scope uratio tho and the old UI for loadout.

You are right. The year 2019 was really a good year for Critical ops. So many new maps were introduced (the one I regard the most is Park). Back then I loved that map altough it was only available for Sharpshooter mode which was a part of Summer '89 event in July, August and September. That was the best time to play this game and I remember spending my summer holiday playing it the whole day at Park, Heat or Raid. Sometimes I would just load the game to chill with Summer '89 synthwave theme song which sometimes I chill with even today. I really miss that whole year, especially that summer. Amd I miss 2019 from Critical Ops. Literally the only game that never has disappointed me. The only game that I did not try to cheat in in any way, even before anti-cheat system was introduced. Summer '89 was my favourite event and I would like to buy all the skins featured for that even, vut I could have never bought it. Hope those will be mine soon.
