Born and raised here and my childhood was magical! I'm now 60 and kids are getting so very short changed!

Love this, though the part near the end seemed something like a nightmare lol My dad worked at this World's Fair! Great to see it in action like this since I wasn't born until many years after. Watching this, I can imagine what it must have been like to be there.

I was 8 years old when my family took us there. We lived in Seattle. It was especially magical and exciting. The most fun I can remember as a kid.

My parents met Elvis while he was filming the exterior scenes for It Happened At the World's Fair. Elvis said hello to them and shook their hands during his break from filming. Mom and dad said he was very polite to them.

My wife and I visited Seattle from Wisconsin in July of '13 for our 20th anniversary. PERFECT weather for 10 days! ABSOLUTELY loved Seattle! Saw "EVERYTHING" all by public transportation and we mean everything. Chowder, the one mile mono-rail, the Public Market, COFFEE, West Seattle by ferry, Alki Beach Park, Bainbridge Island, Rem Koolhaus Seattle Central Library, Fremont and the Troll, newly restored King Street railroad station, took the Amtrak Cascades train to Bellingham, Fairhaven, the fish tossing guys, Ferris wheel etc. Unfortunately now you couldn't pass us to return. SO SAD..............

I’m from Vancouver, Canada... I love Seattle , maybe it’s because it’s so close! I feel there’s something just awesome about Seattle though.

I was 5 years old. I have very hazy memories of this. My Dad worked on the Space Needle. He worked on the plumbing. Hanging way out there in the air. I was born in Everett just outside Seattle. I loved living in Washington.

I’m a MASSIVE 1964 New York World’s Fair fangirl. But I enjoy the Century 21 Exposition too, even though I’ve never set foot west of Missouri/Iowa. :)

I was there twice with family. I was 10 great memories, space capsule. 1 million silver dollars in glass bin.

I was there, 2 years younger. The Space Needle, science center with optical illusion hall and planetarium show, bubbleator in the food circus, international exhibits, barrel ride with the disappearing floor, wild mouse ride. And I remember the coins, too. It was so euphoric for a kid at that time, and I wonder what happened to that energy and futuristic utopic vision?

I wish I'd been there the day they filmed 'It happened at the World's Fair'. Maybe I could have gotten the King's autograph!

Westminster Chimes in the beginning. I remember hearing that the Space Needle has a carillon during the fair. I don’t know if the Westminster chimes came from the Space Needle

There's also a movie called The Slender Thread, with Sidney Poitier that has overhead views of the Seattle Center, not long after the World's fair. Good movie!

TBH, I would’ve heard the carillon a lot better if the music wasn’t in the way
