I was born in Douglas in 1969. I was raised in Phoenix. I will be moving back to Phoenix in a few weeks after living in Portland, OR and Wisconsin for the last several years. I can't wait! There's no place like home! ☺️

Thank you for doing this video, and I look forward to a more in depth tour of the Gadsden Hotel. I visited Douglas several times during the years I lived in SE AZ. The restaurant in the Gadsden Hotel was quite good twenty some odd years ago. I was always impressed with how clean that city is. Keep the videos coming.

The Gadsden Hotel is certainly a one of a kind historic building. I stayed there for one night years ago and of note was the tremendous water pressure in the room’s shower. It was almost painful ! Next time you’re in Douglas, you may want to consider driving out to the historic John Slaughter’s Ranch. It’s only about 15 miles east of Douglas.

I will do that. 👍

Hey Dave just to let you know the road to the ranch is bumpy dirt road, might not want to take the corvette. Also there was a mean old lady told me they were closed that day , also check hours of operation. Beautiful ranch worth the drive. ❤️ tombstone a.t

Haven't been to Douglas. Had forgotten how beautiful some of the architecture is, the Gadsden hotel lobby is definitely from another era, cool old operator switch board. Some trivia Douglas & Bisbee high school have the oldest rilvary in az. Thanks for the video. Keep em coming. ❤tombstone a.t

Why did you not tell your viewers about the 42-foot long Tiffany-style window on the staircase?

Hahahahaha! How do you not know that marble (a high-grade limestone) burns? How does one make lime? Look it up.
@Desert.Sky.Adventures10 ай бұрын
I guess I assumed that because all that marble literally didn’t burn when the rest of the building did?
