At 2:37, when Greenland was discovered, during the Medieval Warm Period, it actually was a green land. There was still that big ice sheet in the middle and it also covered the northern coastlines, but the southern coastal fringes supported enough forests and grasslands to allow Norseman colonists to live as they did back in Scandinavia. When the Medieval Warm Period ended, their crops died, their animals died, and then they died.

@@spassocane3821 Napoleon was French...He was our emperor, he was born in the Kingdom of France in 1769 and at 9 years old he lived in France and go to school in France. Then he fight for France during all his life but you know all this stuff. Napoleon was against the corsican independist movement and supported the French Revolution and in fact the corsican burned the Bonaparte house and after that Napoleon said : " Ce pays (la Corse) n'est pas pour nous" and in 1821 he said " La Corse n'est pour la France qu'un inconvénient, une verrue qu'elle a sur le visage" . Also, his last wish was to be burried "Sur les bords de la Seine, au milieu de ce peuple Français que j'ai tant aimé" For finish, in his last word he said frequently "France, army etc..." . But yeah, ABSOLUTELY ITALIAN and i think if you can speak to Napoleon and tell him he was Italian and not French.....i think he kill you.

@@dustman0048 yeah you're right, he fought for France, he was the French emperor and his parents were from Tuscany, he spoken an Italian language (the Corsican dialect, still spoken today), then when he was 9 years old he learned French. Etnically there was nothing French in him, but he loved France and those are historical facts. (sorry for the English)

Like the video but as a nitpicker, Napoleon was ethnically an Italian, specifically a Corsican. Corsica had been bought by France in 1767, barely a year before his birth, that hardly makes him "French" except in citizenship. I had to point this out from the meme at 5:04
