Back then soap was a luxury and only the very rich could afford it whereas olive oil was plentiful and cheap hence the Romans using it instead. Now you have a true example of what is trickle down economics because today soap is a very cheap commodity and often given away for free to even homeless people. A modern day homeless person can enjoy the use of products that once was reserved for only the wealthy and royalty, that is trickle down economics not the lies that the 80's era Republican Party preached.

The scene depicted is very dramatic. They are visiting a fiance of their fallen comrade to notify her of his death, but find her grave instead, as she was also pilot. The moment is an emotional reaction to what they would do after the war to honor all their fallen comrades. 11:01 inaccurate, the allies had no intension of useing the nukes in Germany They were worried about the nukes being duds and the germans reverse engineering them. What would have actualy happened is the nukes would have still been droped on japan, and then they would threaten to nuke Germany (which would probably result in a coup if hilter refused)

🫡 Respect to the Germans who teamed up with the Americans to protect the political prisoners and a tennis player from the SS. Only the German officer who sought the Americans help died to do a sniper. In his memory the Castle still has the damage on its walls. Also, kudos to the Tennis player who ran for help, came across a SS machine gun nest, stopped, picked mushrooms, took a piss, and kept running like it was no big deal (He got the required help and soon afterwards and returned). SS Machine Gunners: Halt! Who goes these!? *sees what looks like local picking mushrooms, and taking a piss*. SS Machine Gunner: 🤦🏻 Nein. I did not want to see that.
