It was Ogbomoso that protected all other villages towards ilorin and made the town to expand

We are students of history because we have the heritage. Nobody ever told the history that made Oyo to be relocated to her current location between Ogbomoso to the North and Ibadan to the south west. It was the effort of Ogbomoso people to protect her from Fulani invasion from the North. Since Oyo relocated to her current location, they never fought any battle with the Fulanis. It has been Ogbomoso warriors that secure the invasion of fulanis to the southwest.

Bro, you guys like to undermine the effort of Ogbomoso in all wars fought in Yoruba land. It was Ogbomoso people that stopped Alimi and his warrior during the war. It was Baale Ogbomoso "Toyeje" that even confronted Afonja when he became rebellion and rose against Alaafin.

Even in the history of Yoruba, no town or village have produced Aare-onakakanfo more than Ogbomoso. It was same Toyoje that succeeded Afonja. He waged war against Alimi on 2 different time after the death of Afonja to reclaim ilorin back to Yorubaland. Oyo people appreciate it but other part if yoruba that wanted Alafin power to reduced did not like Toyeje and subsequently sabotage his efforts.
