There's something you lot need to understand about Odinani. Odinani its not just about i gba afa or ije be dibia... i n'agokwa ofo ututu? i n'edebe nso i kwe si i debe? Afa is important, to help put things in perspective for you, but it's not a fundamental aspect of the spiritual journey into Odinala. The most important thing to do as a beginner (if you aren't a beginner you'd probably have a dibia already that's why I assumed you're still quite new) is to create a personal relationship with your Chi and ezumezu. If you rush into afa without doing some spiritual house keeping first, it could throw you into deep confusion if care is not taken. Go and know more about your self first, learn about your Chi. The greatest afa anyone could ever receive is the one you receive directly from your Chi, through your dreams and intuition. Quote me anywhere, I'm speaking as a dibia. When the time for a deeper consultation comes, your Chi would then direct you to the dibia that would then do the deep afa that you would require, so you can get an insight into those things that you can't perceive on your own. If you're not in sync with your Chi, how sure are you that the dibia you end up meeting is the right dibia for you? Abi you think say na any dibia fit do any work for you? Not all spirits are aligned you know. If your Chi doesn't align with a particular dibia for example, no matter how powerful he or she might be, you might not get the most out of that spiritual exercise, be it igba afa, ichu aja etc.
