There is sound in the original Alpha demo, you just have to select the audio device in options, you simple select the audio provider as DirectSound and the audio device as Primary Sound Driver or whatever you use for your audio. This worked for me at least.

This game is just amazing! It's is my favorite game after ATS/ETS. I wish that SCS games could have these physics and graphics. Imagine the total destruction on C-D road. Lol.

Yea but once you add these physics the game sadly becomes extremely laggy... which is why beamng cant really improve there graphics, but SCS really needs to improve their graphics it's a good game but the graphics just aren't there.

BeamNG tho has good graphics already and you just need to tweak it a tiny bit in the world editor to make it look amazing.

​@@NukeyStreams False. BeamNG doesn't have the budget and team numbers like SCS that's why they haven't upped the graphics. The minimum and recommended cards to play it are very low. As time goes on they'd improve it but SCS physics will never come close.

I meant how SCS aren't really improving their graphics engine and it was teased they will but it really doesn't do much other than better relighting and stuff like that. For beamNG I was talking about how you can't really improve the graphics more but yes you can add tire simulation and all that stuff but just improving the graphics a lot and maybe just adding scratches and stuff will really take a bigger hit in performance.

2023 version looks much more raw. Most likely due to the lack of a good skybox/volumetric cloud system. Imo a cloud system is what this game needs most to look more visually appealing

i really love that video, it brings back the nostalgia when i first played this game, i think it was version 0.3 (or something similar because i remember the main menu looking the same) and it's so cool seeing what a game it has become and how many people know it early in the days i had to explain it to everyone and now everybody knows it or even has it, such a nice progress

Ive been playing from almost the start I love how good beamng has become. It still has a ways to go though in terms of becoming the best it can be. The main thing I think it lacks is an update to how materials in the game deform. I feel like metal just doesn’t bend like it does irl and plastic and other materials ares the best either. They are still loads better than anything else out there though and with how absolutely awesome the devs are I have no doubt it will be twice as good as it is now when the devs feel it is finally complete.

I remember that i've discovered Beamng when I was looking for GTA5 video (before the release of the game) and thinking that it was that lol. Then I looked for it to download in an obsur website (I know it's bad but i hadn't money and I was young). I played on this leaked game for some month and the update with the Legran was out. I bought the game on Steam at this moment and now I have 1000+ hours of playing this masterpiece ! It's certainly the best 15 bucks i've spend 😃

Yea, a lot of people thought it was a GTA5 leak (including me :D) Besides ETS2 and ATS, BeamNG has a place in heart as well. It's incredible that for many years the game cost still 15-20€ and updates are completely free without any DLC

Not gonna lie, I think that the 60 MPH impact looked better in the 2013 version. The front end got smushed in more, and the truck moved alot more from the extreme forces. The 2023 version could very well be a 35 MPH impact.

@@juno1537 what do you mean mate? Us on the BeamNG forum went into a discussion on this and came to the conclusion that 0.1 is edited. The file dates have been altered and it's a miss match of different versions. I'm sorry but it's not real. I'm not saying the creator of this video made it, or is to blame, because he wasn't to know. But the file he downloaded isn't real and is potentially unsafe. If anyone reads this don't download it.
