From 1946 until 1951, I lived at 2829 College Ave across from the cork works near the corner with the stadium. After we moved my father rented out the apartments until 1958/59, when my mother sold the property. My memories of beaver falls are some of the most vivid that remain to this day, even though I left Beaver County in Nov.1965 for the merchant marines. I live thousands of miles away in the Caribbean since 1981.

Would love to see old pictures from the '50's , my uncle owned Big Beaver Paints on the river approximately across from Morrow Motors, It was a red brick building right next to the rr tracks.

Thanks to my brother, Dale, for sending sending this to me. Very well done. I grew up next door to the college and experienced the down-turn, hadn't been back in more than a decade. Visited twice last year for BF school reunion and in a wedding. I expected a dim view of BF. Instead, I cannot tell you have beautiful it is. I walked all over BF and the campus. People seemed happy, the town was clean (mostly) and my old haunts are still there! I can't say that about the other places I've lived over the years. A hamlet on a hill overlooking a river would be very prime real estate in other places. I am hopeful BF can recover and again become as I remember her when a very young child in front of the five and dime on seventh avenue at Christmas. What a beautiful memory. Almost makes up for my memories of high school...

My father came out of that town. My ancestors went to Canada in the Underground Raid Road then moved back to the USA settling in Pittsburgh. My father was a football player for his H=High School. I think it was Beaver Falls High School?

You did mention Brighton, but not right away. I didn't hear you say College Hill was a separate borough. Geneva property is not taxed. That hurts.
