Rajendra Chola was ruled whole south India and he is the only king in India who ruled outside india like sri Lanka, maldives and southern Thailand, malay Sumatra and java in south east Asia. He defeated Mahipal, the pala king of gauda in present day Bengal and Bihar, and to commemorate his victory he assumed the title of Gangaikondachola means (Chola who captured Ganga). literally the Chola who conquered the (kingdoms near) ganga and built a new capital city called gangai konda cholapuram .

How Malik kapur captured Madurai? When the sick Pandya king died, his two sons, from his two wifes, fought for the throne. The one in control over the northern areas of the kingdom sought help from Malik kapur who came to Madurai pretend to help, later back stabbed him took over the power and looted Madurai. However the southern part of the kingdom was ruled by the other son. Once Pandyan king defeated a Maur yan king, later Mauriyan empire established friendship with the Tamil country and never tried to invade Tamil country. India's history would have been different had the two pandyan brothers didn't fought each other.

If we consider Royal dynasty of India they are either from Surya vamsa or Solar dynasty.chandra vamsa or lunar dynasty..........For example lord Rama Surya vamsa. Lord krishna from lunar dynasty.cholas are from surya vasam. Even in the ancient Tamil sangam literatures refers cholas are from solar dynasty or Surya vamsam. incnscriptions of cholas and copper plates released by cholas always cholas claimed themselves as they are descendants of sibi chakravarthy and lord Rama........ Pandya dynasty belonged to lunar dynasty........If we look at Capital of pandyas madurai in Tamil nadu and Mathura in Uttar Pradesh where lord krishna was born both are located in the same straight line geographically.there is slightly 0.5 or 0.6 degree variations because earth is not perfect sphere. It is because both pandyas and Lord krishna are from same lunar dynasty and they were relatives. Even in Tamil literatures Mathura in Uittar Pradesh is said to be North Madurai .......It is miracle to how in olden days people constructed the city in the same line without any technology........
