Minor correction: Dungeon Guide did not wake up your champion on fail to find during the level up ability; I misspoke. The combo was to level to Lorraine, Blademaster, attack, DG, wake up as you went to Lorraine, Spirit Ruler, play an infusion for free since you dealt damage that turn, and then attack again with the returned and Infused sword on TOP of your LV2 +2 att buff. - Rex

Loving the history style video, I think this is better than just a deck list since it's more theoretical on what you can do

I really enjoyed this video; it was fascinating to learn about all the crazy things that happened in the prelude era and it's just great to have all this info documented like this. Amazing stuff and I'd love to watch more if you'll consider making this a series!!

This video was soooo good. Is Rex the Rhystic studies of GA? This really took me back to the prelude days… “fond” memories of a simpler time 😅

Great video. I remember jumping in at the launch of alter and seeing Erupting Allen from Biefall my first game. Then store championship season began and I learned what Ensoul Lorraine was. What a time to play the game!

Really good video that explains a lot of things to newer player, well done! I do have a question about avarice looping though: if I'm understanding this correctly, Spirit Blade: Ascension puts back the Sword of Avarice only to materialize it again, which results in the On Enter effect to activate, drawing 2 cards. Doesn't this essentially turn Spirit Blade: Ascension into a 1-cost card that draws 2 cards? It is super strong for sure, but how does one get to draw the majority of their deck with it? At most you could draw 10 cards I believe while paying 4 as cost (if you happened to have 4 spirit blades in your hand and also materialized avarice in the same turn). Am I just misinterpreting the meaning of "looping"? From the reactions of the community I would have thought players could draw their entire deck or something 😅

Great question! How the loop works is through the use of Crux Sight's ability. You return Ascension to hand from yard and draw a card. In total, assuming you never hard materialize Avarice, you effectively have 8 copies of Ascension thanks to Crux Sights, and each Crux sight draws you a card. So you can draw up to 20 cards off the package alone, not accounting for Pendragons, drawn blade, infusions, or anything else that draws you cards

Oh wow, didn't take Crux Sight and other cards into consideration. Yeah I can definitely see how it was way too strong when so many cards essentially turned into free draw 2. Feels like modern Rai on steroids somehow haha. Thank you for the response!
