Dear Yadav ji and Negi ji, one canal used to flow along GMS road coming from Gadi side adjacent to FRI East boundary, crossing Ballupur and all the way going beyond Claimentown. I have spent my childhood playing in that canal. Why don't you cover origin and history of that as well. Lovely memory.... Vijay Upadhyay - Mumbai

ये नहर अंग्रेजो ने नहीं गढ़वाल की महारानी कर्णावती जी ने बनवाई थी,जो कि करनपुर तक जाती थी उस कस्बे को उन्होंने अपने नाम पर बसाया था। सिर्फ बैराज का निर्माण ही अंग्रेजों द्वारा किया गया था नहर रानी जी ने बनवाई थी।
