Ryotwari system was introduced by Lord Thomas Munro with Alexander Read in the Bombay and Madras province and in some parts of central india in 1820. The total area covered in this system of revenue is 51% of the total British Indian. Peasants > (tax) > District collectors > (taxes) > State. If anyone wants to add something in this they are welcomed. It will help me and others

Ryotwari was introduced by Munro in1801 but it's failed because of many reasons (high exploitation ) again it was introduced in 1820
