Thank you for your comment. I do not think that the intended use of the building is as important as preserving all aspects of its past for the benefit of all humanity.

As a Turk, I appreciate and agree with your stance on the subject. Hagia Sophia is in Istanbul, which is a Turkish city, but it is a common heritage of humanity. What Ataturk did was the best decision, I suppose.

I agree totally with the rationale of the video. It seems the liberal world is dying into a future of polarisation. This is going to stamp out freedom of choice and privacy. Quite regrettable that humanity has moved so far forward technologically but our human policy to each other, respect and tolerance to diversity are eroding so quickly. Keep up the great work.

Thank you for your kind comment. I agree with what you stated. Preserving differences from the perspective of pluralism and coexistence was an integral part of the Ottoman identity in the so-called Middle Ages. This is shocking when compared to the polarization taking place today by a certain part of the Turkish political class.

Have I said that anywhere? However, it may be useful to remember that history must be analyzed objectively, not with an a posteriori reading of it. We must avoid making anachronisms, which, in this case, have little to do with religion and more with political speculation.

@@TheGeekySimo because in your other video upload you seem to be critical of Ram Mandir. You may take my view as day dreaming, but I feel, what Modi did by facilitating Ram Mandir, is averting future calamity. Otherwise who knows their may be a someone in future who would be maniac like Alexander, and destroy important muslim monument likr Al asqa or Mecca
