Quick correction: the purple spanish flag was the one of the republucan government, wich, until the Civil War, was not aligned with the communists. A big part of the spanish military sided with the fascists, wich led to the Republic to ask for foreign help. The League of Nations pretty much told them they were on their own, even if eventually France and GB did let people to enlist as conscripts (wich was pretty lame, considering what the Republic badly needed was military equipment, rather than conscripts without it). France also gave them a bunch of stuff, but the biggest support the 2nd Republic found to survive was the Soviet Union. That said, it was comparatively smaller than the support Germany, Italy, and to some extent even GB, gave to Franco (the british sold him fuel for the ships that had to bring his moroccan Legion into Spain, and refused to blockade his ships, thus allowing the invasion to happen). Up until the war, the communists had little power in the country, with both liberals and anarchists being the main left-wing political forces in the country.

History of Italy from 1848 to 1918 is incredibly interesting. Girst the unification with great personalities like Mazzini, Cavour, Garbaldi and the only good king Italy has ever had Vittorio Emanuele II, but also pope Pius IX, then the struggles of a new nation, the good government of Depretis, the anti-liberal attempts of Crispi and his hencemen. Still Italy chooses the liberal views of Giolitti, begins a true industrialization and leaves Austria and Germany to join the democracies side. Friendships with France, Russia and UK, alliances with Germany and Austria. But there is also the awakening of the catholic and socialist worlds, which'll be the leading political movements after WWII. What people don't understand is that Italy was very respected among the european countries in the early 1900s. It was a really interesting country with way more political and cultural movements then the other nations. New and still very old, poor but growing, divided but with a strong and energic government (especially Giolitti and Depretis), catholic, socialist, authoritarian, but still liberal and democratic in the end. WWI for us is the first time the country feels united, especially after Caporetto. Then the victory is clear, but just months after Vittorio Veneto, it is sure that the liberal state will collapse.

A Reggio Calabria entrarono quasi senza sparare e a Napoli arrivarono in treno.

Drew records his videos six days in advance. "COUNTRYBALLS: Modern history of Italy" was uploaded by Bulgarian Countryball on December 24, 2022. At 0:00, you see that the video is said to have been uploaded "9 days ago" on Drew's recording. 9 days after December 24, 2022 is January 2, 2023. Drew uploaded this video on January 8, 2023. That means that Drew records his videos six days in advance. Of course, one can only conclude that about this video in particular; however, it seems that all of his videos have some sort of "lag" when addressing world events. It would be most reasonable to assume that he records his videos ahead of time at a consistent rate, as to efficiently organize his upload schedule. Therefore, it would be reasonable to assume that Drew records his videos six days in advance.

Well... Savoy was understandable, France had to be given something to take sides, and in the end it was a cold, mountainous border that could be done without. That place attracted France because was historically greedy and paranoid about the defensive side. They gnawed at every inch on the germanic side, regardless of the human cost, in fact some teutonic generals were unhappy to have some French civilians in their borders because they knew that sooner or later their opponents would use them as an excuse. British support was more spontaneous and silent because the Bourbons were a maritime opponent. The renunciation of possession of Nice was the result of a squalid and unexpected blackmail, but there was little to do at that point, you don't give up all the loot for a small extra piece of land, even if it is the birthplace of your commander .

Just wanted to make a thing clear that isn't quite understandable by the animation. Italy's economic status didn't directly lead to fascism, but it caused two years of communist protests (1919-1920) that was stopped by the paramilitary force of the fascists (called "camice nere"). Then, in 1922, Mussolini, leader of the fascist party, organized a coup d'etat, the Marcia su Roma, that would have been simply avoidable if the king Vittorio Emanuele III wanted to stop it. That's why the Savoia family was exiled after WW2. I hope my comment helped to clarify some doubts.
