Lacrosse: The oldest traditional sport in America. I feel like it doesn't recieve the attention it deserves, but that doesn't really matter. Love lacrosse.

watch the opening credits of the movie "Crooked Arrows", featuring Brandon Routh (and a selection of the greatest players in the game - Paul Rabil, Brody Merill, the Thompson Brothers etc) Not a 1000 players in the sequence, but it gives an idea of the size and scope of an early game.

Yeah, imagine playing a game of lacrosse from sun-up to sun-down to settle land disputes with the next town over. They had pregame rituals, decorated their sticks and put on warpaint, even had "cheerleaders" and medicine men as "coaches." Wild.

The MCLA may not be sanctioned but one cannot overlook the effect the 200 teams have had on the growth of lacrosse over the last 17 years. Without the MCLA the US would not have had the explosion of growth at the high school and youth levels. Great Video.

Football (soccer) may be considered the "beautiful game" but anyone who watched The Calgary Roughnecks vs the Georgia Swarm on February 22nd, 2020, knows that Lacrosse (specifically Box Lacrosse) is the most exciting team/league sport on the planet - bar none. Indeed, the "Fastest game on two feet". And every player is playing out of pure passion for the game, not million dollar contracts (I'm a desk jockey and I make WAY more than most professional Lacrosse players) Spread the hype!!!

I’m sorry, because I like what TLN does but that did not come off well I think. I understand what u were trying to do but, this game is very important to me and I think u belittled the history. If u want to do history of the game in 60 seconds, you should spend at least 50 seconds on all the different styles of the native game there were and where we get today’s game. From 6 nations or Hudanashone And how natives were outlawed from playing in the early Canadian/ collegiate leagues because they were considered professional. Simple because they were better. Nothing to do with pay because there was no professional lacrosse leagues at that time. Also explain how the game was basically stolen so Canada could call it “their nation Sport”. Another words let’s remember that the true North American past time is LACROSSE. Thanx TNL nation because I do appreciate what you’ve done to mainstream this amazing Medicine Game. If we play it right it does bring good Medicine or good Vibes to everyone around not just the players. Keep respecting and growing this gift of a game!!! Lax4life.

Okay, that was the history of men's lacrosse. The history of lacrosse should include women's lacrosse and youth lacrosse, as both are major contributors to the popularity of the game.
