Hi friends. There are many here who are critisizing that this story of Muneeshvara Swamy is false etc etc. First lets us thank this person for the effort. Whether its right or wrong is debatable. There are many stories abt the origins of the munis. Generally mainstream hindu philosophy do not talk of them. There is a reference to them in Kandha Shasti Kavacam. Almost every state in India has some protector deity similar to Lord Muneeshvara. But the beauty of our religion is it doesnt limit you to any particular path of worship. If ur inner self resonates with Lord Muneesvara then by all means worship him with all yr heart and soul and most definitely Bhagavan will reveal himself to you in that form.

Very nice video. There is a Holy Banyan tree which is thousands of years old in Nithyananda Peetham in Bidadi Bangalore. On some nights Munreswaran Swamy walks there at nights and the whole Banyan tree lights up like daytime. The villagers around have seen Muneeswaran Swamy walking and the previous owner who has handed this sacred place to Nithyananda Swamiji has also witnessed it. Now it is a very sacred place where our Avatar Nithyananda Swamiji is having a holy Ashram where millions of people from all across the globe come for Blessings from the Avatar. I have personally been to Nithyananda Peetham and experienced blessings and life changes from our Avatar Swamiji Nithyananda. Sitting under this holy banyan tree has given me a lot of healing.

Thanks for sharing the history of Muneeswara. Ya I don't see any history about Muneeswara in KZbin except for songs and Urumi Melam. I came to know about him when a friend brought me to his temple, but sadly the temple has been demolished by the government. Later, I came to know about Lord Ayyappa. At first I thought it was Ayyah which is Muneeswara. Then I when I heard of Ayyappa's history, I became interested to know more and eventually I followed a group to Sabarimala in 2009.

Muniswaran carries a veenai and a staff. He was a great Veena player. It's even written in his dhyana slogam. Sapta munis are munis that lived on earth, visited rural villages and was adapted by the locals as Gods. There see temple inscriptions on temple walls talking about one of the munis visiting the sthalams. Veerabadra appeared with badrakali and that's it. I wonder where did this guy get this information which is incorrect.
