Excellent video. Grew up on a 240 acre dairy farm in the 1950's and 1960's. Can remember breaking concrete to install barn cleaner and putting in more stalls. Mixed all the concrete with a small cement mixer and wheeled it in with a wheelbarrow. We worked hard but it was a good time to be a farmer. I think things weren't as complicated those days.

Going through a rough moment in my day and watching this video has completely changed it for the better. My family has a dairy in Dimock, PA about 20 miles south of Binghamton. Still working the land and milking the cows well over 100 years later. I'm 45 and live in the "city" now. You gave me a gift. A gift of remembering my lost family members, my special cow goobie, and days of past that resonate. The hard work. The summers that lasted forever. The love I felt and the love I gave. When your father said how Binghamton was local it made me think of all the trips to central tractor with my grandma. I noticed how sweet you are with your girls. You are a good guy. Thank you for making the world a better place.

We had the privilege of working it for a while after he sold the cows and retired until the decision was made to place it into CRP. We had Lamco wagons and a 93 combine which I still have. Farming is a lot of work and many farms fail because the work is so demanding and it is a stain on the family in regards to time management. Thank you Mike and your parent's for doing this video. Really nice to see how things changed over the years. I remember the old Lamco wagon on this farm. The last time I picked with the old 323 was about 4 years ago, probably won't ever have it out again.

Thank you Andrew. Very well said! Chris was a great man and I am a better person for knowing him. In my hay videos I like to give little nods to Chis by the elevator his grandfather made. Thank you Andrew for everything you do everyday. I really appreciate it!

NY farm boy sent me here because I was happy to find him and wanting more NY family farms. I like the family farms because they're what I remember. 1976 was when I graduated high school and left farm country altogether and find myself missing it lately and following farm vlogs. So this was an interesting look back. Spent the summer I was 12 on my uncle's dairy farm half a century ago (!). Most of the farm vlogs I've found that aren't too glitzy and commercial or just huge factory farming have been in PA. I'm getting closer and closer to Schoharie County where my family's farm was. Unfortunately, it went the opposite way. My uncles sold out and went to work for GE, except the one on whose farm I spent the best summer of my life! Wishing I'd never left farm country but, well, at the time, I really didn't have much choice. I think you can take the girl off the farm but not take the farm out of the girl! Something in my blood gives me a deep appreciation of farming. My mother's family farmed in Schoharie County since the 1600s and in England forever before that. Those roots run deep! Even if she did marry a city boy.

I'm glad you heard about the channel and thank you so much for checking it out. I hope you enjoyed this video and the other videos I post as well. I am far from glitzy and a commercial haha. I like the interaction on this channel too. I understand completely what you mean. Farming is in your blood and its a part of you.

Awesome video. Loved seeing the history of the farm. That Ford 7600 was a great tractor. A neighbor of mine growing up had a 7600 and ran it for years. You guys have came a long ways from the old 101 combine to the 9500 of today. Nice place and setup. You and your family have been blessed.

Thank you Stanley. Looking back at those combines I can say my dad definitely deserves that 9500!
