Thanks for the great comparison! Kind regards from the Nobels team

Much appreciated demo! Good consistency in this test. The Tumnus in higher gain settings had some top end fizz that I personally don't love in a guitar tone and I liked the Pantheon more here. Any one of these would suffice, along side a good EQ.

Very nice layout and consistency, guessing these riffs were played through a loop, which is the way to go. My 2 favorite overdrives that I have kept in the mix are the DOD250 and Boss BD-2, I can get everything out of those pedals for my uses. I have to say that I really like the Boss OD-1 here, has a nice bite to it without getting too shrill or raspy on the high end. The Tumnus has always intrigued me as well. thx for putting this together !!

Good 'ol Boss OD1 is still near the very best if not the very best. I passed over so many BITD because the SD1 came out and that was "better". Stupid me. Would love to see them WAZA and bring it back- it's a different (and better IMO) flavor than the SD1. Level up 3/4 to full, drive around 8-9 oclock into a jacked up 4 holer or MV Marshall is the stuff of legend.

So funny! The first segment, EVERYTHING sounded the same other than the Pantheon. Did you set the controls intentionally to try to get as near a match as possible? If you did, why is the Pantheon so much brighter?

OD-1 : my choice. Nicely mid-focused.

Moral of the video is: Go buy wampler pedals. Brian does a wonderful job.

Love the Pantheon. More than one trick in the pedal. Likes other gain pedals too. Very versatile.

I don’t like them…

All great pedals, but the Tumnus is delicious. Apart from showing the pedals settings, could you please always show the player while they are making the sounds? That makes the video much more attractive. Cheers.

I preferred the Tube Screamer and the JHS.

Great demo, though it would have been nice if you had both switches on the Pantheon down for low gain and in the middle position for high gain, per the pedals design.

The Tumnus is one of the most overrated pedals on the market. Love the JHS and the clarity of the OD1.

Nobels ODR-1 are in real life very dull, sent it back
@ephreimharris2 жыл бұрын
You’ll have to eq your amp accordingly. I found it dull at first too. Now it’s literally my main drive pedal. In a band context it sounds amazing. Maybe tonal preferences too. But it’s pretty good to be honest.
@Neil-Aspinall2 жыл бұрын
@@ephreimharris Sure but why don't they brighten the pedal in the first place?
@ephreimharris2 жыл бұрын
@@Neil-Aspinall it actually is pretty bright, you’ll have to work with the spectrum knob according to how it reacts to your guitar and amp. I use an ODR in literally every session I play for all my medium gain sounds.

@@ephreimharris I had one and I can tell you even withe spectrum knob up full it was still unreasonably dull. I really don't get why they designed it like this?

@@Neil-Aspinall I don’t know man. It worked pretty well for me, I’ve also suggested this for couple of people and all have liked it.
