Great documentary but im so disappointed they didn't mention the Prairie View A&M University Theatre Dept. The famous Charles Gilpin Players [ named after Charles Gilpin the first classically trained actor in the United States] The theatre group of PV was created in 1929 the ensemble was visited by Langston Huges. Dr. Ted shines aided in the curation of the Theatre Minor in the 60s then in 1979 Mr. C Lee Turner took Prairie View's theatre dept to the worlds fair to perform as well as winning countless ACTF awards for the Gilpin Player's amazing award winning plays and musicals. Such artist as Terry Ellis of Envogue, The R&B group Next and Broadway Legend Jennifer Holiday come from this amazing dept.. PVAMU please add on to this documentary as well as showing the school in 2020. :)

Excellent! I am a proud PVAMU alum, B.S. Chemistry, M.ED, and now retired. My grandfather, Charles R. Pierson and my father, Elliott L. Harvey graduated from Prairie View. It is wonderful to see this production on KZbin, sharing the history of this magnificent institution. Prairie View Produces Productive People, yesterday, today and for tomorrow!

I've been stuck between going to Texas A&M or PVAMU for many reasons. 100% online classes, in person classes, location and neighboring cities. And much more. But 30 minutes into watching this, I know PVAMU will be my next choice of higher learning. I almost want to say to myself "how dare you as a 35 year old black man waste your G.I. Bill and Hazlewood Act benefits on a PWI; rather than support your culture!" I can't wait to start my studies in the fall. I of course am taking online courses to knock more credits out before returning this summer from South Korea (Army life).

My wife and I received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for pioneering the replacement of the Hubble Space Telescope Dr. Walter and Dr. Alice M. Pendleton a graduate of the mechanical engineering department and Rice University, and a Ph.D from TAMUS the great grand children of Early Hempstead House Legislator George W. Wyatt.

My great Aunt Clarice Harris Burleson went their In 1914-1918. She was only 14 when she started. They were so hungry on campus they would catch Chickens on the yard. That is why when you hear HBCU students call their school the yard. Its because their school were on farms. In that time High School stop at ninth grade. That is why she started College at age 14.

My Family is rearly mention in the legislator start up in PVAMU of Early Hempstead House Legislator George W.Wyatt . My wife and I students of PVAMU, God granted my and my wife to pioneer the Replacement of the Hubble Space Telescope along with the TAMUS where my wife received her PhD from TAMUS.

My deeds deed’s are filed in the WallerCounty Clerks office in Hempstead Texas. I’m a WallerCounty Chaplain and was arrested last week for praying 🙏 in an empty court room and put in jail. For PRAYING 🙏 in an empty court room for the mayor of Hempstead. 😢I was forced off of my knees and violated and my civil rights were violated, but my family brought the largest financial institution to this county over a hundred years ago.

I own the cemetery in Prairie View A&M university, it’s my family cemetery because my family was here before the existence of the university’s so the university uses my family cemetery up until this without my consent. The Wyatt’s Chapel cemetery this caused me to lose my family’s property 😢. My grandparents are buried under the road that the university placed a road over my grandparents grave, the daughter of the Early Hempstead House Legislator George W. Wyatt’s daughter my grandmother Alice Mae (Wyatt) Pendleton 😢 my father’s mother at the university.😂 please pray for my family.
