MY BOY RAPHAEL IS BACK, BABY!!! We sure absolutely miss him. Easily one of the best villains in the entire series. After all these years, I finally know all about this guy’s origin story and his dark past. Also, learning a lot about his character today. Sorry, I’m late on this. I miss this version of him so much. This version of raphael was truly perfection from the three previous soul caliber games. Soul edge. Soul caliber 2 and 3, 4 and 5. From the previous installments, he was extremely dark, grooming, intelligent, serious, interesting, evil and likable. Even as a vampire, he was definitely way more awesome and super dark. And I’m not ashamed for saying this: he was absolutely handsome too. No homo, by the way. Anyway, I’m super glad and thankful that he’s back again. Can’t wait to see him in soul caliber 6. We all want this wonderful man to have a major role in the next game. Y’all wanna see him having a big major role in the next one? He totally deserves his outstanding return. He absolutely rocks. 😱😁😏💯

Raph is my favorite. He’s so proud and comes off as very arrogant. I like his rude attitude like an “I know I’m better than you” demeanor. He’s the best. And in the mix of crazy unbelievable weapons it’s really cool to be able to play a fancy, classy, rapier style. And he is the most handsome guy in the game. Totally suave.

One thing I’m confused about is, when he discovered that Kilik and his people were capable of curing malfested, why would he try to kill Kilik instead of taking Amy to him to cure her and himself? Amy was even cured by Kilik in one of Raphael’s two Soul Calibur 3 endings.

He was too far gone in madness, by then. The sword's influence basically made him too coocoo to be rational and he was convinced he HAD to make everyone a vampire to make Amy fit in. If he was still human or less far gone, he probably would've done so in some fashion.

Raphael was malfested like the others. The Evil sword's influence took it's toll on his mind and he sought to destroy his only salvation, rather than seek it. He was driven by a dark love to see his adopted daughter be accepted by society. All Raphael ever wanted was for Amy to live a full life; blind to the reality that all Amy ever wanted or needed was a parental figure to hold onto.

Raphael is awesome and since Soul Calibur 6 is a light reboot, He's probably gonna be in human form, Raphael is pretty much a stample character since SC2, they gotta put him in SC6. Great video dood. I'd love to see a Yun-Seong: History Behind The Warrior video.

Great video! Just one thing, before the events of SCIV Cassandra and Raphael clashed, with Cassandra being able to deliver a blow to Raphael warding some of his evil energy. However he did catch the piece of Soul Edge Cassandra was holding, meaning that Raphael by the time of IV's climax he had a "reinforcement" of his malfestation.

Raphael in sc2 was soooo cool, such a cocky bastard and poncy af..... He kinda got ruined when he got turned into a vampire, Even his fighting style got crap... It used to be so intricate and complex, but they removed so many of the good moves for 4..... I hope in 6 he is pretty much the exact same as he was in sc2!

As much i like Raphael I didn't approve him being the 2nd Nightmare that much he should of been different instead incorporate Siegfried style they should use Raphael's style but make it more savage and darker than before and as for his armor take some inspiration from the Azure Knight Siegfried Nightmare but mak him black and purple instead and his armor should be inspired by a bat instead of a wolf like Siegfried Nightmare was.

Well Raphael has a much better story-line. He was the one who defeated Nightmare in the second game, and he was a original character who brought the fencing style into this series, everything Amy knows he learned from him. A better game-play style not warrant a good enough excuse to consider her a better character. In my personal opinion: I think the people who like Amy don't even care about her game-play or story-line, I think its simply because they think she's an appealing anime looking girl. The type of fans who would prefer to have Sakura Kasugano as the protagonist over Ryu. Her ending was NOT a continuation of Raphael's in SCIV it was a JOKE ending...meant to invoke humor.

Just don't mind about those chronological mistakes. The game is full of those. But yeah my French history loving side is always annoyed by this... Beside Raphael dresses like an 18 century person in SC4 and Dampierre and his gang look like they got out from some 19th century Dickens' story not to mention Sophitia who stayed in the antique times. But then I always remember Ivy and Voldo, so I accept the slightly unchronological mistakes. There is much worse.
