Nice video! Really gave me a grasp of the timeline of their history, especially helpful in understanding Putin's motivations in the modern era of war and uncertainty, so thanks! One thing I noticed though, is the border of Russia and Finland. Karelia was part of Finland before the second world war, but it was part of Russia the whole time on the map here. I don't know if it might have been part of Russia earlier in its history though, and I'm not sure what to google to find out!

It’s a hobby. I make almost no money from the channel and a video like this takes months of my time. I’m providing free content for you to consume and learn from. I’m a time poor busy working mum so this is the best you will get and I think unless you actually have an educational KZbin channel you’re naive to think that it produces enough income to sustain a person. It doesn’t even break even most of the time so in creating these videos for you I lose money and give up my time. I do it because I love learning and education. Serious answers so if you don’t like it you can move on 👍
