Answer the question. Why sati was only done in region of Rajasthan, punjab,haryana and some parts of Gujarat, UP. Same with ghunghat. Answer is because this were the only regions which were always under invasion. Mughals and turks were Necrophils so our women’s adopted this.

केवल सती प्रथा ही नहीं हिंदू धर्म में पर्दा प्रथा भी नहीं है। किसी भी हिंदू धर्म में आप घूंघट, हिजाब ,बूर्का, अबाया या पर्दा जैसे शब्द नहीं पाएंगे। ना ही किसी देवी की मूर्ति घूंघट निकाले मिलेगी। अभी तो उलट महिलाएं शास्त्र और शास्त्र दोनों विद्या ग्रहण करती थी। यही कारण है की देवी के 10 हाथों में से एक हाथ में किताब एक से आशीर्वाद और बाकी आठ हाथों में शस्त्र मिलेंगे। जय माता दी
