Excellent talk. Many of the points Stephen makes about evolution were covered in the book Climbing Mount Improbable by Richard Dawkins in 1996 and also Unweaving the Rainbow (1998).

The best designs (both man-made and in nature) are the simplest ones. There are also very complex designs, but in reality we need more information to determine if something is designed or not. Complexity is not enough.
