Huge props to Dream, his style was a key influence in British graffiti especially late 80's & early 90's through the zines that were available in London etc & personally was one of the key figures that kept me interested in continuing my graffiti until this day, all my love to his family & friends, suerte!. I wish more people would strive to be at his level, the world has been enriched by Dreams artwork

My moms worked downstairs from shirtique in Hilltop mall so almost everyday i would run around that place stealing comic books/toys and them clips for the starter jackets and woukd watch and talk with Mike about graffiti and hip hop.. he definitely showed love and made time for a kid to teach me lettering and raid stories in the freight yards. RIP DREAM ~DresOne

Beautiful video Dregs! I met him at Shirtique in the 80s as a child, then interviewed him and Spie for a high school video project (Think Spie still has this footage), and whenever I saw him he ALWAYS showed love and encouragement. Like many in the graff community I was super shocked and sad when he passed. But, folks like yourself , his brother John, son, TDK, and all of those who were inspired by him keep his legacy alive. Thanks for documenting and sharing!!

I'm from Calgary, Alberta, and the loss of Mike in the world of graffiti was felt on the streets from here. His legacy will continue on! Thanks for the video, the words from his mouth were pretty powerful and his story has always inspired me to live through my own adversities.

I was honored to be in an art show with Mike DREAM and would also run into him at Psycho City, etc. He was always supportive, kind, energetic, fun and just a lil’ wild! I’ll never forget the SPIE/DREAM piece on top of the fashion district building facing the freeway!! Such a DOPE piece that ran for years! His positive, creative energy will persist no doubt and this video as well as DREAM DAY and his family’s efforts to keep his memory alive is so impressive and inspirational!! RESPECT!!

I was born and raised in ESO on 52nd ave and went to Melrose Elementry School 1977. My buddy Stare TDK RIP Bone he was drawing from in the early 80's in school. I'll never forget the outfit his mom got him for our 6th grade Graduation 1984 he was Supafly. Some years later he took me over to the tracks to meet up with his crew TDK.. Had to watch out for the train police though those were the days.

Rest in Paradise Dream, East Oakland "The Tracks" 23rd to 29th ave. Much Love and Respect to Dream to his memory and his Art. You did your thing putting this segment together. Me and my brother got too meet Dream, Vogue, Phresh, and along with a few other artists that day in the early 80's. Dream and Vogue were finishing up on their pieces.1985-86? As youngsters Me and my brother live in a house located in JingleTown. You would always find me and my brother down at the tracks. That wasn't the first time me and my brother talked to Dream. But I often wonder if me and my brother had anything to do with the crew name? We was referred to by all the writers as those damn kids. TDK?
